Voice Over Talent Audio books - Prices / fees
Now that audiobooks are becoming more and more popular with consumers, the number of audiobooks being produced has increased dramatically. I have been involved as a voiceover artist in numerous audiobook productions.

As I have recently founded my own audiobook publishing company, I would be happy to publish your audiobook production through my publishing company
rme-audiobooks.deand offer the book for download through all well-known audiobook portals. If an audiobook is particularly successful, I normally publish it on CD. One example is the "Wahre Szenen einer Ehe" audiobook by Rudolf Geiser.
Unfortunately, estimating costs for recording an audiobook is very complicated.
As many publishing companies offer considerable sums of money for well-known speakers, usually a popular TV personality, good but lesser known speakers are only left with very small projects.
As an audiobook cannot be completed in a day, I use the following price scale:
1st day incl. preparation: € 800
2nd day: € 600
3rd day onwards: € 500
A day comprises max. 6 hours of actual recording.
In addition to artist costs, there are also studio costs. For my studio, you only pay for the time I need to edit the recording. You do not pay for the recording time as long as I am the voiceover artist for the project. For other voiceover artists and during post-production you pay € 130 per hour. I am happy to negotiate discounts for longer projects.
Rights to the recording are of course applicable worldwide and are not subject to any time limitations.
